Convocation Food Drive?
From 12th July to 2nd August 2025, we're asking for your help in donating essential non-perishable food items or making a monetary donation to support The Food Pantry.
At Convocation's recent Alumni Council meeting, the Student Guild President, Nikhi Talluri, discussed how the cost-of-living-crisis ?continues to impact many UWA students— some of whom are struggling to meet basic needs such as food and hygiene items.
In response to the rising need, Convocation has partnered with Nikhi and the Student Guild to deliver a winter food drive to support The Food Pantry.
Located in the heart of the Student Guild, The Food Pantry operates on a no-questions-asked basis, allowing students to select a range of non-perishable food items and everyday products like soap and sanitary products.
The Guild's creation of The Food Pantry this year was in response to the need for assistance surging? from 126 in 2022 to over 1,900 in 2024. The need has never been greater.
This is our chance, as UWA graduates, to give back and support students during this challenging time.
