Celebrated as a visionary Vice-Chancellor, eminent Agricultural Scientist, and UWA graduate, the late Professor Alan Robson AO left an indelible mark on the University community through his remarkable achievements. On the morning of Monday 26 May 2025, a ceremony was held to commemorate his legacy for all time.

Guests assembled at the western steps to the University Club, where Pro Chancellor Sue Murphy AO announced that they were to be named the 'Alan Robson Steps to Wisdom'. Alan played a major role in the establishment of the Club and the steps that form part of a grassy amphitheatre were on his regular route from the Vice-Chancellery to Agriculture and return. The Robson Steps to Wisdom complement the School of Agriculture's Robson Walk and Robson Lecture Theatre.

All those gathered were delighted that Alan and Gwen Robson's children, Nicole, Suzanne and Andrew were able to attend the ceremony, flying from various locations across Australia.
